My name is Tami Close and my intention is to empower women to
realize they are responsible for their own health and
well-being.
Why am I doing this? Years ago I became very ill and wrote down
the foregoing statement while reading a book by Mark Victor
Hanson entitled Dare to Win. I knew that I ...

Aging skin is something we all either have or will have. Its a
fact of life. The skin starts to lose its elasticity, sun damage
takes a toll, wrinkles and lines develop. Cuts and scratches
don't heal as fast and scar easily. The skin is dry and can even
become brittle. It literally thins out.
This is because we have not cared for it. I heard on the radio
today that 90% of Americans know more about their car engine and
take better care of their car then themself. We take our cars
for oil changes ...

Mesothelioma is a cancer that is known to be caused by exposure to asbestos. It is a condition when the mesothelium is invaded by malignant cancer cells. The mesothelium is the protective lining surrounding the human lungs and other body organs. It is most commonly seen around the lungs, but can also been found around the heart. When a person is diagnosed with mesothelioma the average life span is only about twenty-four months. Many victims of mesothelioma get this condition because they were ...

Lung cancer as a consequence of asbestos exposure could be
considered as one of asbestos disaster, since this mineral is
more likely to generate problems than solve them. It maybe has
different pros, but it is also a high risk factor to get a
painful disease. Lung cancer causes up to 3 million deaths per
year, becoming the most lethal malignant tumour of the lungs
worldwide. The most important risk factor for lung cancer is
smoking, but inhaling or swallowing asbestos fibers double fold

Mesothelioma is one of the rarest forms of cancer with "only"
about 2,000 cases reported in the United States. Still, it is
perhaps the most deadly. Those unfortunate enough to have been
diagnosed with the disease generally live 4 to 9 months after
diagnosis. There is, at this time, no "cure" for the
disease---only treatment options that may extend the life and
comfort of the victims of mesothelioma by a few short months.
If you've been diagnosed with mesothelioma, it is important that
you seek ...

If you went to AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) meetings to get sober,
you remember the overabundance of coffee and cookies available
(not to mention smoke). At OA (Overeaters Anonymous) meetings
you find a number of people who are coming from other 12-step
meetings, people who originally treated their alcohol or drug
addiction and now find that their eating has become compulsive.
I hear OA people say that they were aware of having a food
problem before having an alcohol problem.
Overweight people ...

Filing a Mesothelioma lawsuit can be a long and arduous road. Most of your energy needs to go to focusing on your health, and the simple thought of going after a Mesothelioma settlement is simply too taxing and exhausting. Many people suffering the ill effects of asbestos feel this way, and often turn their back on the opportunity to file a Mesothelioma lawsuit. While the fatigue and the pain of dealing every day with an asbestos related illness is quite legitimate, there are many reasons why ...

Pericardial Mesothelioma is an extremely difficult cancer to
treat and presently, all treatment methods used have a poor
success rate. The chances of a patient's survival depend largely
on how early and how aggressively the cancer is treated. If
pericardial mesothelioma is treated when it has fully matured
and developed then the chances of survival are very slim and the
prognosis for a patient could be only a couple of months. The
latency period of pericardial mesothelioma (30 - 50 years), ...

So you want to lose weight? In my practice, losing weight is a
common question among patients. They want to know my opinion,
what I would do if I were going to lose weight. Everyone has an
opinion, and a lot of the time I think they want to hear if my
theories fit with theirs. The last couple of years I have seen a
trend of people trying to get the latest and greatest quick
weight loss strategy or ideas. The push usually comes in the
spring because we want to look good in the bathing suit for ...

There are many reasons for people who are overweight or obese
to lose weight. To live longer. To look better. To have more
energy. To feel better. No matter what the reason, successful
weight loss and healthy, sustained weight management depend on
sensible goals and realistic expectations. If you set achievable
goals for yourself, chances are you'll be more likely to meet
